During Play Based Learning time we can:
- Play outside with sports equipment
- Practice writing our letter shapes
- Play together creating games and rules
- Practice drawing, colouring and writing
When we do these things we are learning to:
- Communicate
- Share
- Negotiate
- Use our gross and fine motor skills
These are all part of the NZ curriculum. These are examples of:
- English: reading and writing
- Science: forces
- The Arts: communicating, developing ideas
- Health and Physical Education
We are also developing our key competencies:
- Managing self
- Relating to others
- Participating and contributing
- Thinking
- Using language, symbols and texts
